Due to overwhelming workload from our new beautiful, and Cost-effective SOLID-STATE DISPLAY……
We cannot take in any more work until the Backlog is completed in approximately two months.
At Present there are over 50 KX-155 NAVCOMS in our lab for Overhaul and LED Installation.
Each radio requires at least Ten hours of work and care to properly Overhaul and one hour to install to our new display!
WE ONLY WORK ON THE KING KX-155, after working on almost 2,000 of these radios we are True Experts.
We feel that the King KX-155 is the best NAV COM ever made, but after 35-45 years in harsh aviation conditions. They need a complete overhaul which will include a new painted faceplate and our LED upgrade on every radio.
It takes at least 10 hours of highly technical work to completely overhaul a 40-year-old radio properly and install our new LED Display.
Why 10 Hours??
There are three receivers and one transmitter in a single radio.
Every radio we receive has multiple issues, which must be identified, repaired, and adjusted before it can be shipped back to the owner.
After 40 years of harsh aviation service, components shift values in the radios.
The transmitter and all three receivers must be readjusted by the book with expensive/professional testing equipment, for maximum performance.
It takes a lot of time to do this professionally, to keep your communication and navigation working perfectly.
